Fineprint

A confusing letter just arrived.
One missed date could matter.

Fineprint organizes selected excerpts from a benefits-renewal notice — timing, actions and requested documents linked to their source wording, so you can inspect the context and check the complete letter.

How it works

Everything runs in your browser — nothing is uploaded, no external service is called.

How it works

  1. Reads the letter in your browser. Text extraction happens locally — nothing is uploaded, and no AI service is called.
  2. Finds passages worth checking. Selected renewal methods, program check-marks and document requests are shown with source quotations. The reader must check the complete conditions and exceptions.
  3. Quotes timing, never decides it. Detected timing passages appear verbatim in source order. The tool does not choose your deadline, and extraction can miss relevant wording. Check every date and condition against the full letter.
  4. Links extracted passages to their source. Evidence quotes include page references and jump back to the source line.
  5. Admits what it can't see. If the tool finds no timing wording, it says so and points you back to the letter — it never asserts a deadline exists or doesn't.

Scope: Fineprint is an evidence reader intended for benefits-renewal notices in the style of Texas form H1830-R — an organizer of quoted excerpts, never a statement of what you are required to do. Text without renewal-notice vocabulary gets an honest unsupported notice and no checklist. It is a document-comprehension demo, not legal aid and not a government service — it makes no eligibility, medical, or legal decisions. Synthetic samples are clearly labeled; the bundled official sample is the blank 2018 Texas HHSC form linked in the source manifest.
